There are 330 mammal species in Uganda, of which 0 are critically endangered, 7 are endangered, 21 are vulnerable, and 17 are near-threatened. These include elephants, lions, antelopes, giraffes, Hyena, buffaloes, cheetah, wildcats, leopard, jackals, wild dogs, zebra, hippopotamus, gazelles, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, mountain reedbuck and others. Primates contain all species related to the monkeys, lemurs and ape that is to say gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys.
